A graduate in Art Education from Helwan University in 2001, Mohammed Talaat Ali Osman earned a degree from the Higher Institute of Artistic Criticism in 2004 and a Masters from the Faculty of Art Education in 2004. He is a member of the Fine Arts Syndicate and the Cairo Atelier Association of Artists and Writers. He is the founder of Gallery Misr Art Gallery in Cairo, and a former director of the Ministry of Culture's Palace of Fine Arts. Osman has also worked as a programmer in the General Administration of Arts Centre at the Egyptian Ministry of Culture's Fine Arts Sector. He held several solo exhibitions in Egypt between 1999 and 2004, including three shows at the Fayoum Cultural Palace, and participated in over twenty group exhibitions between 1998 and 2005, notably at Townhouse Art Gallery and the Cairo Youth Salon. Osman has also shown his work at international biennales and festivals in France, Bangladesh, Jordan and Saudi Arabia among others, and has organized over thirty international and national exhibitions, and his curation work includes the Sodic Symposium Phase One and Two. Awards including winning first prize in painting at the 13th Youth Salon in 2001. His work is part of a permanent collection at the Egyptian Modern Art Museum and Cultural Development Fund, as well as economic institutions in Britain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. See more
