Luxor-based painter and sculptor Ramadan Abdel Metemed is very unique in his style. His artworks are a constant exploration of the Egyptian psyche. The dreams, ambitions and the constant challenges Egyptians face and endure are common themes in his work. Particularly, the dream of a new Egypt - a free Egypt- a recurrent subject in his work. Abdel Metemed is an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor. He has participated in many exhibitions, including the 14th, and 22nd Youth Salon, the 32nd General Exhibition at the Opera House, and many more. Some of his artworks are currently exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art. See more
