Born in 1970, in the United States of America. Rania Shaalan studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1980 and graduated from the school of Fine Arts majoring in Sculpture. Rania participated in several group exhibitions and attended the Aswan Symposium in 2003. Her passion about human relationships of love, togetherness and separation is what inspires her. The Egyptian Museum of Modern Arts bought one of her pieces. Rania Shaalan is not only a Sculptor but also a musician, she plays piano, guitar and composes, sings and writes her own songs. Rania made her 1st stage appearance in the Cairo Opera House with Grammy Award winner Fathy Salama. See more
